I attended BarCamp Singapore II at NUS Extension at Park Mall tonight. Close to 130 people signed up to attend this event and this was my first attendance. The focus of this gathering was maps and mobile applications. Several Google Singapore and Nokia people gave some talks as well as local web developers showing off what they are currently working on.

I was very impressed with the demo by Jon Petersen (of SinGeo) and folks from Wideo.us. Rather than I talk about it, I’ll let their works speak for themselves. You can also watch tonight’s presentation at Viddler - sgphpug (when it becomes available later).

I really like the SinGeo’s Singapore Bus Times and Google Maps Mashup. It’s going to be a huge when Jon manages to port it for iPhone.
